SFYR March Madness!

Think you know College Basketball? Do you love filling out brackets? Think your Alma Mater is better than everyone else’s? Need to prove you’re not as dumb as Dick Vitale? Its March, and it that means its time to fill out some brackets. SFYR will be running a bracket for the NCAA tourney. If you want to play, please e-mail Ed Sheppard by Selection Sunday (March 15). SFYR March Happy Hour - St. Patricks Day Irish Pub Crawl and Irish Car Bomb Chugging Contest!

Please join fellow San Francisco Republicans in supporting the California College Republican’s 2009 Convention, which will be held in San Francisco on April 24-26. Assemblyman Guy Houston will be the featured speaker. The College Republicans are holding their convention in San Francisco to show that even in the most liberal part of the state, the Republican presence is strong. Let’s not disappoint them.

SFYR Charity Bachelor and Bachelorette Auction Raises Over $1,200!

As you know, the SFYR held a Charity Bachelor and Bachelorette Auction to benefit the Janet Pomeroy Center at our February Happy Hour. The courage of the YRs who got up on the auction block was rewarded, as the night raised over $1,200 for the Center. It was the first time we tried an event like this, and it is safe to say it was a success. We would like to thank all those who placed bids, made donations, showed up to support the center, and, of course, a big thanks to our bachelors and bachelorettes! We Got Hacked Again

So we got hacked again by the open minded and tolerant folks here in San Francisco. As we attempt to come up with a long term fix to the problem, we have re-booted a simplier version of the blog. SFYR endorses Nehring and Del Beccaro for CRP

The San Francisco Young Republicans has endorsed Ron Nehring for Chair of the California Republican Party and Thomas Del Becarro for Vice-Chair of the California Republican Party.

“Ron and Tom are the clear choice to lead Republicans to victory in 2010,” commented SFYR President Ed Sheppard. “With so many people focused only on the national level, they understand the importance of winning at a state and local level and building a strong Republican base in California.”
